Similar Kind

Similar Kind is an indie pop band based in Norwalk, Connecticut. The group’s four members — Nate Porter, Miles Dominici, Ben McNamara, and Julia Breen — have been writing songs together for five years. The band’s eclectic sound is driven by each member bringing very different musical influences to the table, leading to elements of neo-soul, jazz, pop, rock, and even progressive being sprinkled into the music. The result is a diversity of style that music writer Mitch Mosk (Atwood Magazine) explained as, “No matter our mood, there is a Similar Kind song ready and waiting for us.” Similar Kind has toured and played with acts such as Sunflower Bean, Bad Bad Hats, Hot Flash Heat Wave, No Vacation & more.
